Long Branch Woman Revived With Narcan In Police Department Bathroom: Report

Ocean Township Police had to administer Narcan to the woman three times following the overdose, a report says.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Police had to give a 36-year-old Long Branch woman three doses of Narcan to revive her after she used heroin in a police department bathroom, according to a report.

Amy M. Mauer went to the police station on Aug. 27 to get some items from the records bureau, and used the public bathroom in the lobby to ingest heroin, according to an app.com report. Police reportedly administered three doses of Narcan to revive the woman.

She's been charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a syringe, the report states

Mauer was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by the Oakhurst First Aid Squad. She is free pending a court date.
