Man Accused Of Fatal Hit And Run Of Neptune Twp. Man

Police say the two men were talking through the car window when the driver drove away, with the victim clinging to the car.

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man accused of killing another man with his car in Neptune Township in February has been extradited back to New Jersey from Florida, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced Friday.

Dominic Allen, 23, of Millstone, was charged with second-degree Vehicular Homicide and second-degree Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident.

At 4 p.m. Feb. 11, Neptune Twp. and Asbury Park PD responded to a 911 call in the area of Stratford Avenue between Fisher and Myrtle avenues for a report of an individual hit by a car. On arrival, police found an adult man lying in the roadway with severe injuries.

The victim, later identified as Kyzair Robinson, 19, of Asbury Park, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and would later succumb to his injuries on February 12.

Police say Allen was the driver. Police say Robinson was talking to Allen through the driver’s side window, prior to Allen driving away with the victim clinging to and ultimately falling under the vehicle as Allen fled the scene.

Allen was later apprehended in Orlando, Florida, by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force. Allen was extradited back to New Jersey and charged on Wednesday. He is currently being held in the county jail.
