Provide a brief bio on yourself. Age, education, occupation.

I am 63 years old, grew up in Ocean Township. Attended all three Ocean Township Schools (elementary, junior high, high school). Went to Brookdale Community College for two years, then Rutgers. Started an importing business 25 years ago, currently located in Shrewsbury.

Do you have any children enrolled in the Eatontown or Monmouth Regional school district or used to be?

I do not have any children in the Eatontown school district.

Do you have any school board experience or experience in education?
I have been on the Eatontown Board of Education before, and hope to return this coming election.

Where do you think the Eatontown school board needs to improve?

The Eatontown BOE has a much better chemistry than other school boards. I believe the leadership (superintendent) is the key component that makes every board member's voice heard.

Looking ahead, what are some of the biggest challenges facing the Eatontown and Monmouth Regional school district in the next 2 -5 years, and how do you plan to confront them?

The biggest challenges I believe the Board of Ed. will face is the constant budget cuts that the state of New Jersey consistently levies on the public school system. These budget cuts result in less services and less teachers for the students. It doesn’t seem fair since we, as Eatontown residents, pay a hefty percentage of our property taxes to the school system.
