Neptune Hobby Lobby On Rt. 66 Now Open
The Hobby Lobby is located in Neptune Plaza on Rt. 66, where the Neptune ShopRite is that sold the $1.13 billion lottery ticket.
NEPTUNE, NJ — The new Hobby Lobby in Neptune city is now open.
The Hobby Lobby craft store is located in Neptune Plaza shopping center on Rt. 66, and officially opened its doors Dec. 24. The store is open 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. every day except Sunday.
This is the shopping plaza where the IHOP is located, Carvel, a new K-Pot Korean barbecue, SuperCuts and the Neptune ShopRite. Of course, that's the ShopRite that made national headlines in 2024 when it sold the $1.13-billion-dollar winning lottery ticket, the biggest lottery prize ever sold in New Jersey.

The ticket was sold in March 2024, and a winner did not step forward to claim it until Dec. 2024 (winners have a year to claim their prize). The winner chose to remain anonymous, and the NJ Lottery said they cannot reveal who won the historic jackpot, not even revealing their gender or whether they are a Monmouth County resident.
This was the largest jackpot ever won in New Jersey, and the fifth largest jackpot in the history of the lottery in America. While the initial prize was $1.128 billion, the winner will receive the cash value, which is $537.5 million before state and federal taxes are taken out.

The Rt. 66 ShopRite, owned by the Saker family, received a $30,000 bonus check for selling the winning ticket.
This spring, the shopping center will undergo an exterior renovation, which will include new curbing, milling and repaving and a façade renovation.
Azarian Realty Co. is the leasing and property management agent for Neptune Plaza.
