The Neptune ShopRite at 2202 Rt. 66 in Neptune is owned by the Saker family, which owns nearly all the ShopRites in Monmouth County.
This week's winner is a regular lottery player. He or she (their gender was not revealed) was interviewed by the NJ Lottery and said they usually purchase several lottery tickets every week. They braved a thunderstorm with lightning, high wind and heavy rain to head out to the Neptune ShopRite earlier this week and buy the lottery ticket.
“I’m very grateful for what I have gotten,” the player said. “I can’t breathe, I have to exhale! I can’t even focus today. I am a very perceptive person. I told myself that I’m going to hit the lottery real soon. It’s a dream come true.”
