Patch gets you up to date on Falcons sports, the weather and what the Tinton Falls Board of Educaiton is up to.

Each weekday morning, Patch delivers what you simply need to know and can’t miss. Whether it’s a school board meeting later that evening, the lowdown on the weather or a must-read on Patch, we’ll lay it out for you every morning. Getting out the door’s challenging enough, we can’t help you find your keys (check your purse) but we can tell you what you need to know to rock the day.
1. On Sunday, it was all we could do in Patchlandia to keep from donning shorts and lying out to bask in the sunshine in our backyard. However modesty, and the thick layer of snow crust covering our lounge chair, kept us safely inside in our sweats. We did see our baby Patch outside on his bike zipping around the neighborhood with his buddies and for a brief moment, we were sure we’d made it through the worst of this snowy, snowy winter. However, in this week’s weather forecast issued by our friends at the National Weather Service, the word “snow” is found a few times, lest we forget that there are still 41 days to forge through until spring. Kiss Sunday’s sunshine good-bye as it looks to be turning rainy the first part of the week with the old one-two rain/snow punch lurking around the early part of Tuesday and then clear skies through Wednesday.
2. We don’t know if it was the Black Eyed Peas performance at the Super Bowl that’s gotten us really excited about sports— or maybe it was the football cupcakes our neighbor brought over before the game— but as the end of the winter sports season draws near, there’s plenty to cheer for in Falcons sports. Here’s Monday’s lineup:

If you missed them Friday night, you can find them all together again p.m. at the Mahala F. Achison School. No wine here but it would just make you sleepy anyway.
