Residents Donate Bottled Water, Food For Eatontown Fire Dept.
IMA Urgent & Primary Care always hosts this drive in June so local first responders have an adequate supply of water in the summer.
EATONTOWN, NJ — For the seventh year in a row, IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care hosted their annual bottled water and granola bar drive to benefit local first responders this June.
The bottled water & granola bar drive netted almost 700 cases of water and 300 boxes of granola bars, all of which will be given to fire and EMS volunteer squads in Middletown, Hazlet, Shrewsbury and surrounding towns.
“In our area, most of our fire departments and first aid squads are all volunteer and they rely on donations," said IMA president Dr. Brendan Mulholland. "Bottled water and granola bar donations are a great way to help our first responders stay hydrated and nourished during an emergency."

IMA always hosts this drive in June so local first responders have an adequate supply of water in the summer.
"Bottled water is important to first responders because as we don our fire gear, which keeps the heat out as well as in, we sweat quite a bit, losing precious water, " said Middletown Assistant Fire Chief Dan Kelly. "During these hot days, this is extremely important to keep us hydrated."
