TINTON FALLS, NJ — Construction continues on the new five-story cancer treatment center RWJBarnabas is building in Tinton Falls. It will open in late 2026, RWJBarnabas Health announced this week.
The 150,000-square-foot building is currently under construction at Corregidor Road and Pearl Harbor Avenue, on the former Fort Monmouth property. You can see how it will look here.
It will be called the Specialty and Cancer Care Center at the Vogel medical campus, and will be a "state-of-the-art facility that will provide patients with easy access to a wide range of outpatient services in a tranquil, park-like setting," said the hospital network.

There will be outdoor seating and walking paths on the property.
RWJBarnabas purchased that lot in 2022 from the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA), which controls all the land at the former U.S. Army base. RWJBarnabas paid FMERA $8 million for the property.

The cancer center will operated in partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, located in New Brunswick.
RWJBarnabas is making a $1.5-billion investment in cancer treatment in New Jersey: Just this week, they unveiled their massive, 12-story Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center in New Brunswick.
And in the fall of 2025, RWJBarnabas plans to open the Melchiorre Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. That will be its "northern hub" for cancer care. All three of these cancer centers will be run by the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
RWJBarnabas also operates the Anne Vogel Family Care and Wellness Center, located next to the Boscov’s at the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown.
Both medical buildings named for the Vogels were funded with $50-million donations from Monmouth County philanthropist Sheldon Vogel, and his late wife Anne. Vogel is the former chief financial officer for Atlantic Records; he lives in Colts Neck. He is a major Jersey Shore philanthropist.
