Sea Bright Farmers' Market Continues to Build Momentum

Come to the Sea Bright Farmers' Market every Thursday through October 30th.

Kicking off its inaugural season just weeks ago, the Sea Bright Farmers’ Market continues to add to its line-up of area farmers and food makers who source locally. In the past weeks, the Market welcomed Holly Jolly Jams, producer of homemade jams and jellies made from hand-picked or locally sourced fruit whenever possible, and Pickle Licious, purveyor of garlic-soaked pickles and vegetables. Beginning Thursday, August 28th, the Market will begin featuring organic grass fed meat and cheese, cream top yogurt and eggs from pasture raised, hormone free hens.

The new vendors join an existing line-up which includes Krowicki Farm, Great Road Farm and Happy Harvest Hydroponics, producers of locally and sustainably grown fresh fruit and vegetables; Baker’s Bounty, bakers of fresh bread and pastries; Neshanic Valley Beekeepers, makers of raw honey; Fair Mountain Coffee, roasters of organic fair trade coffee; and Franklin Soapworks, creators of all natural, environmentally responsible soaps.

Each week the Market plans to feature a guest chef, cooking challenge or special event that showcases the regional bounty of fresh produce grown in New Jersey. This Thursday, August 28th, Executive Chef Kyle Hopfensperger of Dive Coastal Bar in Sea Bright will be serving up tastings of a summery peach salsa prepared using locally sourced ingredients from Sea Bright’s growing list of farmers and producers.

The Market, which is sponsored by the Sea Bright Borough Council and its Sustainable Sea Bright Committee, is currently being operated by Community Green Market Organizers, a volunteer group that assists local communities set-up and run farmers’ markets. Community Green Market Organizers is committed to connecting shoppers directly with regional farmers and food producers. In doing so, we encourage and support the age-old form of conducting commerce - local, community-scale businesses selling to their neighbors and surrounding community.

The seasonal Market is held every Thursday from 2-7PM and runs through October 30th. The Market is conveniently located in Sea Bright’s municipal parking lot on Ocean Avenue.
