EATONTOWN, NJ — The Monmouth County SPCA hosted its annual Dog Walk & Pet Fair this past Sunday, April 27 at 80 Acres Park in Eatontown.

Hundreds of people and their pets attended to celebrate their beloved pets and raise critical funds for the mission of the MCSPCA. The pet fair was sponsored by City by the Sea Vet and Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital, both of which have been valuable partners in caring for MCSPCA shelter animals in need.

The MCSPCA would also like to thank BPN Events for donating their time for great music and announcements.

The festival was held in a peaceful park and eventgoers enjoyed a variety of vendors while visiting informational tables for all of the lifesaving shelter programs. Those who registered to attend with their dogs received an event t-shirt and bandanna for their pup.

There were also fun stops like a pup-cone booth, and one of the more popular destinations during the day was the “Puppy Cuddle Puddle," where people could enjoy some time with adoptable puppies — all of whom were adopted that day.

Other highlights of the day were kid crafts and prizes, a live K-9 Demo presented by the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, and a 50/50 raffle where a lucky Freehold resident took home over $6,000.

"I would like to thank the community for joining us for such a wonderful family event to support the great work of our organization," said executive director Ross Licitra. "Our staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and attendees all make events like this possible, and our mission depends on it! I would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Anthony Talerico, our Mayor of Eatontown, for graciously allowing us to host this great fundraiser.”

The Monmouth County SPCA now looks forward to their Animal Rescue Camp starting in July for kids aged 6-13, the Fur Ball Gala on August 14, and the Polar Plunge on November 29.
