Shark Week, National Night Out in Long Branch This Week
Representatives from the Discovery Channel program will be at Pier Village on Aug. 5.

They're going to need a bigger boat in Long Branch this weekend as the Discovery Channel's Shark Week program is headed to Pier Village.
Representatives will be on hand from 2-6 p.m. to talk about the show, hand out goodies and there will even be some surprises, according to the Long Branch Police.
We'll head over to Pier Village to check it out and we'll let you know what the surprises were.
It's also National Night Out in Long Branch on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
National Night Out is a partnership between police departments and their towns where demonstrations are held, prizes are given out and fun is had by all.
The event will take place at Slocum Park, between Long Branch City Hall and the Long Branch Free Public Library on Broadway, from 6 to 9 p.m.
