Take A Tour Of The New Amazon Fresh Grocery Store In Monmouth County

EATONTOWN, NJ — The Eatontown Amazon Fresh store flung open its doors at 8 a.m. sharp Thursday, and above are some photos from inside the store and their grand opening.

Remember, this is only the second Amazon Fresh grocery store in New Jersey (the other is in Paramus), and it's located at 137 Rt. 35, Eatontown, NJ 07724, near the Monmouth Mall that's currently in the process of being torn down to be replaced by townhomes.

The first customer in line Thursday received a $100 Amazon gift card. After that, the next 100 "first" customers received a $5, $10 or $15 Amazon gift card. Customers at the grand opening celebration were also given an Eatontown tote bag.

The grand opening will run until 7 p.m. Thursday, and the store will have giveaways, free food samples, face painting, games for kids and more.

"This new, affordable grocery store in the community offers a wide selection of quality groceries and a convenient shopping experience," said Amazon in a statement.

"This opening invites Eatontown customers to experience grocery shopping with Amazon Fresh, both in-store and online. We’re excited for customers to see our wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce and curated array of their favorite local items and fresh prepared meals."

The Amazon Fresh store in Eatontown features the company's latest brick-and-mortar design unveiled last year in Chicago and Southern California. Customers can expect to find a wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce and protein, as well as Amazon’s private label brands like Aplenty, Fresh Brand, and 365 by Whole Foods Market.

They also have grocery delivery, curbside pick-up, Amazon Dash Cart, Amazon One and Alexa kiosks in the store.
