Tornado Warning In Monmouth County
A tornado warning and a severe thunderstorm warning were issued for Monmouth County.

NEW JERSEY – A tornado warning was issued for Monmouth County on Wednesday.
A severe thunderstorm warning also was issued for the area for a storm packing 60-mph winds.
A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Red Bank, or near Long Branch, moving east at 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Some reports indicated a possible tornado sighting in Middletown.

Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely, the NWS says.

A hazardous weather outlook was issued for the region, saying scattered thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday. Some of the storms may produce damaging wind gusts and localized flooding.
Here is the forecast:
- Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly between noon and 4 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.
- Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 80. North wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
- Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.
