Monmouth County Man Peered Through Windows, Police Say
Police in West Long Branch say this man peered through the window of an 80-year-old woman's home multiple times in the past two weeks.

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ — Police in West Long Branch say this man peered through the window of an 80-year-old woman's home multiple times in the past two weeks.
Roberto Durand, 50, of Long Branch, was arrested Monday by West Long Branch Police Sgt. Tyler Brennessel and Det. Kyle Szatkowski; he was charged with trespassing, harassment and invasion of privacy.
He is accused of trespassing on "multiple instances" on several residential properties throughout West Long Branch, said police on their Facebook page.

"Ultimately, he trespassed in the backyard of an 80-year old female victim who noticed several items moved in her backyard over the previous two weeks," said police. "The investigation revealed that he watched this victim inside her residence from various windows on several dates since April 2025."
Police say the first incident of him peering into her window was reported on April 24. West Long Branch Police then started monitoring the woman's house covertly, and Durand was arrested Monday "while actively peering through the victim’s window."

West Long Branch Police detectives released a photo of the accused man because they say they are seeking additional information about Durand’s activities and looking to identify other possible victims in surrounding towns. He does not have a car and is known to ride a bicycle.
