What Should Go Here? The Larchwood in West Long Branch
Wall Street building on has been vacant for years
The Larchwood was once one of the few bars located in West Long Branch, and was a popular place to meet up to watch a game and have a drink.
Now, the Wall Street building, which was more recently known as F.G. Fields Public House, is abandoned and is a mere shadow of its former self. Its large glass window is cracked, the inside is filled with debris and the mailbox in front is stuffed with letters that will never reach their intended recipients.

The building is located next to University Subs & Deli, 142 Wall St., which is also the home to a small fresh fruit and vegetables stand on Fridays during the summer.
A proposed low-income housing development that is currently being heard by the West Long Branch Zoning Board would be located east of the building if it is approved. That land is currently an empty grass lot, that has been that way for many years.
