1 Hospitalized After Cars Crash, Crack Utility Pole in Long Valley
Cause of two-car wreck on West Mill Road currently unknown.
One person was hospitalized after a two-car crash in Long Valley Wednesday afternoon.
A Chevy sedan and Ford F-250 pickup truck collided on West Mill Road around 4 p.m., causing extensive damage to both vehicles. The driver of the pickup truck, a woman, was seen walking around the scene and had minor injuries, if any, and did not seek medical attention.
The driver of the Chevy, however, was entrapped in the vehicle and required the jaws of life to be removed. He was then put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital by the Long Valley First Aid Squad.

The pickup truck lost its rear axle, tires, and bed in the crash, and also hit a telephone pole, knocking out electricity to homes in the area.
Police were allowing alternate lanes of travel to pass through the area.
