LONG VALLEY, NJ — A man was arrested after being found with 165 bags of heroin and swallowing a piece of paraphernalia during a traffic stop, Washington Township police said. Jason Heinowitz, 30, from Tinton Falls, was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence following the Nov. 24 traffic stop. Police say Heinowitz was pulled over on Rt. 46 for a motor vehicle violation and had marijuana in plain view. A search of the car turned up 165 bags of heroin, police said, and Heinowitz allegedly tried to swallow a piece of paraphernalia during the search.
