2.5-Mile Rt. 46 Paving Project Set For March To September

Schifano Construction will conduct $2M project.

MT. OLIVE, N.J. – A large portion of roadway stretching from the Washington Township, Hackettstown, and Mt. Olive border to Budd lake will be repaved in the coming weeks.

The 2.5-mile stretch from the Naughright Road/Sand Shore Road and Route 46 intersection heading east to Woodsedge Road will be paved by the New Jersey Department of Transportation beginning on or about March 10, the state said.

Schifano Construction Corporation out of Middlesex, New Jersey, will conduct the repairs, which come in at a cost of $1,978,699.06.

According to the accepted contract, the estimated completion date is scheduled for Sept. 13, 2016.
