2nd Annual 'Summerfest' Event To Be Held At Ort Farms In Long Valley

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Live music, food trucks, craft beers and family farm fun, are all part of the celebration that's at the end of August to kick off the start of sunflower season.

Ort Farms on 25 Bartley Road is hosting the two-day event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28, with tickets on sale now.

Angry Archies, one of the food truck vendors planning to attend, specializes in their signature dish, a crab cake sandwich on a toasted potato bun served with crispy potatoes.

The Empanada Truck, which specializes in jumbo empanadas and Cuban-style potato balls will also be on hand to provide food for the festivities.

Attendees are encouraged to walk through our sunflower trail, take a scenic horse-drawn carriage ride around the farm, or simply relax with an ice-cold beer and enjoy live music from the Dirty Blondes and Mudfoot.

Kids can ride the farm's cow train or interact with the farm's friendly animals, which include baby bunnies and goats. Local artisan vendors will also be on hand with their one-of-a-kind, handcrafted goods for festival-goers of all ages.

Tickets for the event are currently on pre-sale for $7.95 for general admissions and $5.95 for youth admission.
