Get ready to rumble. Big time professional wrestling comes to the area Friday night. Top legends from the world of television wrestling will come to St. Jude's Parish in Hopatcong to throw-down, pile-drive and body slam for your enjoyment. The event, sponsored by the Sussex County Police Benevolent Association, features headliners Tito Santana, Robbie E and a host of other brawlers. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling 973-222-2102, by stopping by the PBA Office at 519 Route 206 in Andover or by visiting http://www.funkdafiedwrestling.com. The slamming fun starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday at 40 Maxim Drive in Hopatcong.

Women who exercise do not sweat, they glow, shimmer, glisten. Well, on Saturday, you get your choice to sweat or Glisten for a Cure to help fight breast cancer. The event supports Tanja Scherle, a single mom in the Wayne area fighting breast cancer, and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. GFAC offers opportunities to try the exercise regimens Zumba and Piloxing, and there will be shopping and door prizes. The event starts at 9 a.m. with registration, refreshments and shopping. The Zumba class begins at 10 a.m. and Piloxing starts at 11:30 a.m. The fun for a cause takes place at the Wayne Police Athletic League Building at 1 PAL Drive. Registration for exercise class participation is $25. For those who just want to shop, admission is $5. You can register in advance online. What is Smackwater Jack? It's a classic 1971 jazz album by Quincy Jones that features the theme song from "The Cosby Show." It's a song by the acclaimed songwriting legend Carole King about a guy with a gun in the mood for confrontation from her legendary album "Tapestry," also released in 1971. And it's the name of a New Jersey band that promises no nonsense, no gimmicks, just pure rock. The group, known for its aggressive hard and modern rock blend, brings its crowd-pleasing covers to the Blackthorn Irish Pub and Restaurant Saturday at 10 p.m. The venue is at 1735 Route 46 in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

Now, there had to be some post-Halloween event this weekend, and this won't disappoint true horror fans. The Bickford Theatre in the Morris Museum at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown presents a Halloween Spooktacular Saturday at 8 p.m. featuring a screeding of Lon Chaney's 1927 classic silent movie "Phantom of the Opera." The film will be scored with a live symphonic soundtrack by Gabriel Thibaudeau that features Beethoven's Second Symphony. There will not be a single moment of silence as the New JEsey Festival Orchestra performs Thibaudeau’s extraordinary soundtrack with split-second timing and precision under the baton of David Wroe. Tickets are $30 for members, $35 for others and $50 for premium seating. Is your tween or teen a scene stealer? Has your boy or girl shown a desire to get involved with the theatrical arts? Here's a chance for them to show what they've got. On Sunday, the Chatham Community Players’ Fantasy Theater, its branch for young audiences, will hold open auditions for a production of the classic children's tale “Puss In Boots” adapted and dramatized by Vera Morris from Charles Perrault’s original story. Lonnie Ruland directs. Rehearsals will begin in mid/late November, with the show running Jan. 11 and 12, 2014, at the Chatham Playhouse. The company seeks a multi-generational cast ages 12 and up to play the 15 characters. Those auditioning will be asked to read from sides (script excerpts).
