ROXBURY, NJ — A Morris County landscaping company agreed to pay over $500,000 in unpaid overtime, as well over $40,000 as improper payroll deductions to the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s (NJDOL) Division of Wage and Hour Compliance following an investigation.
Fullerton Grounds Maintenance of Kenvil cooperated with the investigation, officials said, which showed that workers were owed $529,898.12, collectively, in overtime fees. Employees were also illegally deducted for uniforms from their paychecks, totaling $40,150.
In addition to overtime and deductions, Fullerton Grounds Maintenance agreed to pay $57,004.85 in administrative fees, plus $20,000 in penalties to NJDOL by June 30.

“We are not allowing any business to get away with this type of egregious wage theft,” said Labor Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo. “Our state is a better place to live and work when the field is level and all employers play by the same set of rules.”
“We appreciate how this employer worked with our department to rectify this situation, and encourage all businesses to see it in their best interest to do all they can to comply with the laws of our state,” said Joseph Petrecca, Assistant Commissioner of the Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
