Alleged Drug Dealer Caught In Mendham With Cocaine, Pills: Cops

Tip leads police to make arrest on warrant.

Mendham, N.J. – A man believed to be selling cocaine in Mendham Borough was arrested recently and found to be in possession of narcotics and illegal prescription pills.

Mendham Borough police received a tip that Argetim Ala, 36, of Totowa was distributing cocaine within the borough, Sgt. Patrick McNichol said. During an investigation it was learned an outstanding warrant was issued for Ala’s arrest.

A motor vehicle stop was then conducted based on the outstanding warrant, and Ala was placed under arrest.

At the time of being taken into custody, Ala was in possession of eight baggies of cocaine and three hydrocodone pills, McNichol said.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Morris County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit assisted.
