Annual Fireworks Festival Returns This Month To Long Valley
The Fireworks Festival is planned for Saturday, Aug. 24.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Long Valley Middle School will once again be the site of the long-awaited and annual Fireworks and Green Festival.
The festival, which is hosted by the Washington Township Green Team and Long Valley Fire Company to benefit the fire company and promote eco-consciousness, is planned to kick off at 5 p.m. on Aug. 24.
The annual event was reintroduced three years ago after being postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19.

"I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the LVMS field," Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello announced in a post about it on his Facebook page.
The festival fun is set to kick off at 5 p.m. that day with live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and the Green Festival, with a $10 per car donation to attend. Just like years past, the fireworks are scheduled to begin at 8:45 p.m., as the sun sets, at the school on 51 West Mill Road.

The event organizers said that although doors will open at 5 p.m., the food trucks, live music and beer garden will not be available until 6 p.m. The "Green Festival" segment of the event will be held in the field behind Long Valley Middle School from 5 to 8 p.m.
Residents are invited to bring blankets and chairs to relax and enjoy the fireworks display.
If rain or bad weather occurs, the festival will be rescheduled to Aug. 25, at the same time and location.
During the festival, the established policies of the Washington Township Board of Education and Long Valley Middle School will be enforced: no dogs, smoking, alcohol, glass containers, golf carts, or motorized vehicles on the grass.
