Annual Thanksgiving Celebration Planned For Long Valley Seniors
The deadline to register for the annual senior Thanksgiving celebration is Nov. 6.
LONG VALLEY, NJ β Though Novemberβs only begun, Thanksgiving is on the horizon, with Washington Townshipβs Recreation Department now accepting registration for the 2023 Annual Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon.
Planned for Nov. 13, beginning at 11 a.m., the luncheon is hosted by the Recreation Department at the Valley View Chapel on 115 East Mill Road.
The luncheon offers dine-in options with all of the usual Thanksgiving centerpieces and trimmings, including: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, a vegetable, candied yams, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls with butter and dessert to top it all off.

The featured entertainers for this year's Thanksgiving event are harpist Patricia Turse and pianist and vocalist Jay Daniels.
All seniors are welcome to attend the catered luncheon by River Star Diner.

For in-person dining, seniors need to register by Nov. 6, with the meal costing $13 for residents and $14 for non-residents.
All interested parties are asked to register by sending a check made payable to WT Recreation and mailed to Washington Township Recreation, 50 Rock Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853.
