Antique NJ Diner Sells For $70K On eBay
Now, it's up to the new owner to find the Crossroads Diner a new home.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Sold! An antique New Jersey diner sold for $70,400 on eBay in a bidding war over the weekend.
A bidding war in the listing's final moments nearly doubled the price, up from $37,500 60 seconds before the listing ended on March 29. The starting bid was just $25,000.
Located in the Bridgeville Section of White Township, it's now the new owner's responsibility to move the diner somewhere else, as was stipulated in the listing. eBay does not make winning bidder's identities known.

Known as the Crossroads Diner, the diner closed up shop for food in the summer of 2018. It was built in 1957 by the Campora Dining Car Company in Kearny. According to the eBay listing, the company had a short run, and, "the Crossroads Diner may be the only diner built by the company."
The building is 50 feet long and about 16 feet wide. It has counter stools, two six-top booths, two 4-top booths, and sits about 50 customers, the description says.

In addition to the building, the winner bidder is taking home "the intact back bar equipment (pie case, lower refrigerator coolers, coffee urn stand, stainless wall mounted shelving), original Formica clad cashier booth, original waitress station and exterior neon tube lighting / transformers."
The listing is still up on eBay for anyone interested in taking a look.
