Baby From NJ Dies After International Flight, Airline Confirms
The 11-month-old child died after a flight to India.

NEW JERSEY — A baby from New Jersey has died after an international flight to India, NBC news reported.
11-month-old Arnav Varma fell sick on a flight from Qatar to India early Wednesday morning.He was traveling with his parents to visit family, the Daily Star reported. Varma was born in New Jersey.
There are conflicting reports on where exactly Varma died, NDTV reported. A hospital official said the baby was brought to the airport deceased, something an airport spokesperson denied. Varma reportedly had trouble breathing prior to his death.

Qatar Airways told Patch that the baby did not fall ill on the flight, and extended their thoughts to the family.
"We are aware of the very sad news that a young child passed away at Hyderabad International Airport this morning. Our heartfelt sympathy and thoughts are with the affected family," the airline said in a statement sent to Patch. "Qatar Airways can confirm that there was no medical emergency declared on board flight QR500 from Doha to Hyderabad. The passengers disembarked at which point the family approached ground handling staff at Hyderabad International Airport to report that their infant was unwell. We send our sincere condolences to the affected family.”
