Car Fire Extinguished At Long Valley Playground
A group of friends parked on the playground so the car lights would illuminate the basketball court, police said.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — A car fire was extinguished at a private playground in Long Valley, police said.
The car fire happened on the playground in the Woods of Long Valley around 2 a.m. on Sunday, police said. A group of friends told police they'd parked the car on the playground so the headlights would illuminate the basketball court.
Firefighters put out the fire, and no one was injured. Police say the fire appears to be mechanical in nature.
