Celebrate Spring And Community Spirit At Long Valley Day: What To Know

Hosted by Long Valley's Ort Farms, the springtime event promises a day of family fun, farm activities, and delicious local food.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Long Valley is gearing up for one of its biggest spring celebrations yet, with Ort Farms hosting a day full of family-friendly activities, local food and farm fun.

The event, aptly named Long Valley Day, is set for May 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will take place on the farm’s property at 25 Bartley Rd, Long Valley. The rain date is Sunday, May 18.

"Plans for the day include kicking off with the Sirens & Sneakers 5K at 9 a.m., hosted by The Coffee Potter, with proceeds benefiting the town’s First Aid Squad and Police Departments. After the race, guests can head to Ort Farms to enjoy live music and savor delicious dishes from local favorites such as The Empanada Guy, The Brew Crew, Pudgy’s, Marley’s Wings & Things, BeezerQue, Dellano’s, and The Coffee Potter.

For family fun, there will be pony rides, a Cow Train for kids, and the chance to meet and feed friendly farm animals.

Chilton Mill Brewing will also be on-site, offering craft beverages for the adults.

"Whether you're celebrating after the run or just looking for a great way to spend the day, there’s something for everyone," Ort Farms said.

Admission for this community event is $10 per person, with children under 3 free. Officials noted that all proceeds will support Long Valley Hope's mission to provide financial assistance to local residents and families affected by cancer and other serious illnesses. The organization also works to engage the community by offering education and resources on cancer prevention and care.
