Central Grad, Military Vet, Medal Of Honor Recipient Dies at 33

Kyle Trew enjoyed soccer and riding his motorcycle.

Long Valley, N.J. – Kyle Trew always served others, from his days as a Boy Scout up through his time in the military.

The West Morris Central graduate and former Long Valley resident died recently at the age of 33.

Trew served in the United States Army, Navy, and National Guard. Most recently he worked for Polivka International in Charlotte, North Carolina as a heavy equipment operator. He graduated Central in 2001.

As a youngster Trew received a Medal of Honor from the Boy Scouts of America for saving a woman’s life. He had a passion for soccer and working on cars as well as riding motorcycles.

Trew is survived by his mother, sister, brother, two half-brothers, and one step-sister.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 25 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home on High Street in Hackettstown. A funeral will be held at 5 p.m.
