LONG VALLEY, NJ — An Irish music group will be exploring the music of the Celtic countries at the Washington Township Library this week.
The group, "Na’Bodach," which is Gaelic for “not old men,” will perform Celtic music at the library on Friday from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Formed in 1999, the now five-person band will perform songs known by Irish and Scottish soldiers and the Celtic music that evolved in America.

"The band was never interested in reproducing the music in the 'pure drop' manner of a traditional acoustic setting, but modernizes the music with electric instruments and contemporary rhythms, harmonies, and styles, but always with respect for the tradition," a statement from the Friends of the Washington Township Library said.
Guests can expect to hear the sounds of traditional Celtic instruments like the mandolin, fiddle, and more.
