LONG VALLEY, NJ — The people have spoken, and these are the best-decorated homes in Long Valley this holiday season.

If you live in Long Valley and want to see some stunning holiday light displays, you won’t have to go far this year—many homes in Washington Township are beautifully decked out for the season.

Last month, the Washington Township Recreation Committee issued a call for holiday lighting decorations, and the residents answered.

Open to all Long Valley residents and businesses, the invitation sparked participation from several homeowners eager to compete for the title of the most festive home in town.

Per annual tradition, the winning homes were announced at this year's Jolly Jamboree event, which was held on Dec. 14 at Rock Spring Park Pavilion.

"While we have awarded the top four places, we want to emphasize that every single one of you is a winner in our eyes," Washington Township officials said. "The effort and artistry you all put into transforming your homes into winter wonderlands was extraordinary, making the judging process incredibly challenging."

Here is the list of winners:

  • Mayor's Award: 10 Buttonwood Drive
  • First Place: 3 Mountain View Avenue
  • Second Place: 26 E. Springtown Road
  • Third Place: 16 Flintlock Road

All winners received a yard sign and a prize in recognition of their festive display.

"We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the 5th Annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest. Your creativity, festive spirit, and dedication have truly made this event a remarkable success," Washington Township officials said.
