Cprl. Jamie Smith To Be Honored At WMC's A 'Call To Courage' Week
Five WMCHS veterans who died in the line of duty will be honored during "A Call To Courage" week at the high school next month.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Five West Morris Regional High School graduates who gave their lives in military service, including Cprl. Jamie Smith, will be honored during a week-long celebration at the high school.
Called "A Call To Courage," the week-long celebration will recognize the five veterans who died in the line of service, including Smith, who graduated in 1990, Pfc. Stanley Pfrommer, class of '62; Lt. Allison Speirs Berry, class of '64; SFC Larry Maysey, class of '65; and PFC John Lindaberry, class of '66.
The week at West Morris Central will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 1, with an announcement recognizing Pfrommer and Berry, and an after-school screening of "Black Hawk Down." That movie is based on the real life incident that killed Smith (he was portrayed in the film by actor Charles Hofheimer). Students will need a signed permission form to be able to watch.
