LONG VALLEY, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes

What does the nominee do for work?:
Runs the River Star Diner

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
He let all his employees stop working, so they would not be at risk and is currently running the diner with just his family members. He also has donated food for hospital workers and has his children delivering food so his employees wouldn't be put at risk. He is also very active in the Turkish community helping with donations for people who can't afford food and necessary items such as masks

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
He is a very caring hard-working family man.
