Free School Supplies Available At Long Valley Food Pantry
Free school supplies are being distributed by the Long Valley Community Assistance Program and Food Pantry to those in need.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — This school year, children in need will not be without. Before the start of the school year, the Long Valley Community Assistance Program and Food Pantry are distributing free school supplies.
The Long Valley Community Assistance Program and Food Pantry is currently located at 39 Bartley Road and offers free services to all Washington Township residents and attendees of the participating churches.
"The pandemic has caused the price of food and other items to skyrocket, including school supplies. We have backpacks, notepads, pens and pencils plus a bunch of other items children might need to start off the new school year," officials said.

If you or someone you know is in need of supplies, stop by the food pantry on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
"When families can barely afford food, the expense of back-to-school supplies can put a strain on already tight household budgets," said officials from Morris County's Interfaith Food Pantry.

The first day of school for kids in the Washington Township Public School District is Sept. 1.
