Driver Hits Rock Wall, Charged With DWI In Long Valley: Police
The man's car drifted to the other side of the road before he drove into the wall, Washington Township Police reported.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — A man was charged with DWI, after he drove into a rock wall, Washington Township Police said.
He also faces charges for being under the influence “of drugs other than alcohol,” the police department reported; and was additionally charged with reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane.
According to the Washington Township Police Department, responding officers on Dec. 30 were called to the scene of a car crash on West Mill Road near Middle Valley Road.

After arriving, the officers found the man, who they didn’t identify in their news release, but described him as “visibly intoxicated.” In their investigation, they found that his car had drifted into the other lane, crossing double yellow lines, before colliding with a rock wall.

The police department reported on Monday, after the charges against the man were announced, he now awaits a court appearance in Washington Township Municipal Court.
