Election Guide: Where To Vote, Who's On The Ballot In Washington Twp.
State, county, and local races all up for grabs Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Tuesday, Nov. 3 is Election Day, and Washington Township has some important decisions to make.
Uncontested local races will make way for battles at the Morris County Freeholder and General Assembly levels, as incumbents and newcomers alike vie for terms that will begin Jan. 1.
Locally, Committeemen Bill Roehrich and Ken Short are running unopposed for three-year terms. On the Washington Township School District Board of Education, a trio of incumbents will run unopposed: Kristin Gallagher, Perry Kwok, and Michael St. Jacques are all seeking three-year terms.

Voters will be faced with an interesting dilemma on the West Morris Regional Board of Education, as the two incumbents available for re-election β Joe Galayda and John Meyer β are not seeking additional terms, and no other residents filed petitions to do so.
As it stands now, two seats will be available representing Washington Township on the nine-member board for 2016, but no representation. Anyone garnering the most number of write-in votes would become the representative.

In the General Assembly, Morris County representatives and incumbent Republicans Michael Patrick Carroll and Anthony M. Bucco are opposed by Democrats Richard Corcoran III, and Thomas Moran in the 25th Legislative District.
Six candidates are seeking seats on the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders, with just one an incumbent. Republicans John Cesaro (incumbent), Christine Myers, and Deborah Smith are vying for three seats with three-year terms against Democrats Richard Escobar, Brendan Liam Keating, and Webster Lewin.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Hereβs where to vote in Washington Township.
