Fairmount Road Construction Continues In Long Valley On Friday

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Thursday's snowstorm sidelined a road construction project on Route 517/Fairmount Road, that has been rescheduled to Friday.
Washington Township’s Office of Emergency Management postponed the second day of work, originally planned for Wednesday and Thursday, because of the weather. On Friday, construction is expected to last between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The original announcement stated the work “will be taking place on the roadside shoulder between the traffic light at the center of town and Highland Avenue at the top of the hill.”
Alternating lanes of traffic may also cause delays, the Office of Emergency Management wrote.
