Family Fun Day Planned For Long Valley's Ort Farms
This weekend, spend your Sunday at Ort Farms, which has fun events for the whole family planned.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Live music, food trucks, craft beers, and family farm fun are all part of the celebration this weekend at Ort Farms.
Ort Farms on 25 Bartley Road is hosting a "Sunday Funday" event this week that is free to attend for all community members.
The family-owned farm, which is popular for its pick-your-own fields and various community events, will be hosting a day of family fun to celebrate the summer.

If you like corn, you'll have the opportunity to grab some fresh sweet corn from the field and enjoy it plain with butter or roasted up street corn style. If crop harvesting isn't your thing, attendees will also be able to cut their own flower bouquets. Sunflowers are $2 per bloom; all other flowers are $1 for three blooms.
There will be live music from a variety of local artists performing, as well as the Ort Farms Food Trucks serving slushies, hot dogs, loaded nachos, sliced watermelon and more.

Those over the age of 21 are also welcome to sample Jersey Girl beer from their new shed or purchase a four-pack to go.
For the children, there will be a target contest in which family members can compete by shooting potatoes, lemons, or onions from fruit and veggie cannons. A cow train will also be available for rides, with tickets costing $4 per rider.
The event will go from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., according to officials.
If you are unable to attend this weekend, Ort Farms will host another "Sunday Funday" on Aug. 13.
Ort Farms, now in its sixth generation, is a 400-acre farm managed by three generations of the Ort family. The farm is open all year, selling homegrown produce and other goods at their market stand and providing visitors with recreational opportunities.
