Food, Fun And More Expected For Washington Twp. Community Night Out
Organizers call the event a "reminder of the strength and resilience of our community."

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Those looking to celebrate their community and have a fun time doing it won’t have to wait much longer, because Washington Township’s Annual Community Night Out is slated for next week.
The event will take place on Tuesday, July 15, at Rock Spring Park from 6 to 9 p.m. with a July 16 rain date. The free event will feature games, food, entertainment, and more.
“Washington Township Community Night Out has a rich history of fostering community spirit and pride,” organizers said in a statement. “Year after year, residents eagerly anticipate the festivities, knowing that it’s a time to reconnect with old friends, make new memories, and celebrate the camaraderie of our community.”

There will be activities for both kids and young-at-heart adults, including inflatable axe-throwing, a video game bus, a dunk tank, and a rock wall. Youngsters can also enjoy a bouncy house and an obstacle course.
There will be free hot dogs, watermelon, ice cream sandwiches, pizza, water, and soda available for participants.

Additionally, there will be live entertainment featuring a DJ and a band.
Local entities, including the Washington Township Police Department and the Long Valley First Aid Squad, will be in attendance. The first aid squad will have ambulances on display and will provide demonstrations on the jaws-of-life as well as drones.
“But beyond the thrill and excitement, this event serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of our community,” a statement read. “It’s a day where neighbors become friends, and strangers become family, all bound together by a shared sense of belonging and pride in our town.”
