Free Summer Movie Screening Postponed In Long Valley

Due to the possibility of thunderstorms, Cruella will now be screened on July 31, according to officials.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Friday night's Long Valley summer movie event has been postponed due to weather.

Disney's Cruella will now be screened at Rock Spring Park on July 31 at 78p.m., Washington Township officials said.

"For of you that have registered for tonight's drive-in movie, unfortunately, we are going to have to switch our movie night to Sunday, July 31, 2022. It does not look like the weather is going to hold up. Sorry for the inconvenience and we will see you all on Sunday after 8 p.m.," officials said.

Forecasters predict severe weather in Long Valley after 5 p.m. Showers and thunderstorms are also possible before 3 a.m., followed by a slight chance of showers throughout the night.

Despite the fact that admission to the movies is free for all residents, registration is required. According to organizers, guests attending a movie at Rock Spring Park can bring their own chairs and snacks.
