Freeholder 'Road Show' Coming to Long Valley
Wednesday meeting offers a chance for Long Valley residents and officials to talk local issues.

Long Valley will host the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders this Wednesday at the municipal building, 43 Schooley's Mountain Road.
The freeholders will conduct a work session at 4:30 p.m. with a regular meeting to follow at 7:30 p.m.
“When we leave Morristown, the county seat, and take some of our public meetings into the towns, it gives the freeholders the opportunity to meet face-to-face and to exchange ideas with local officials and to seek their input on the various issues that affect their communities,” said Freeholder Director Thomas J. Mastrangelo.
Last month, the Washington Township Committee discussed potential topics to discuss with the freeholders when they come to town.
Among the possible topics is traffic on Schooley's Mountain Road and the need for repairs to the county thoroughfare, officials had said.
“Away” freeholder meetings have been held in each of the 39 towns in the county since the practice began, and this year the freeholders have already been in Madison, Roxbury and Rockaway Township.
According to Mastrangelo, the freeholders plan to conduct public meetings in Montville, Jefferson, Boonton and Mount Olive before the end of the year.
