Holiday Happening - Dec 1 at the WTHS Museum

The holiday spirit will be in full swing at the Washington Township Historical Society, Sunday, Dec. 1, from 1:00 to 4:30 PM.

Celebrate the season with the Washington Township Historical Society (WTHS). The WTHS museum will be open on Sunday, December 1, from 1:00 to 4:30 PM, in festive collaboration with the Christmas Tree Lighting at Zion Lutheran Church.

Visitors are invited to explore the museum's historic exhibits, including the latest addition commemorating the anniversary of the Long Valley Women’s Club, showcased on the main floor.

The holiday spirit will be in full swing with a special visit from Santa Claus, who will delight guests from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. At 4:15 PM, enjoy a live performance of holiday music by the Celebration Praise Band from Trinity Methodist Church.

Following the performance, guests are encouraged to join the community in a short, safe walk to Zion Lutheran Church (11 Schooleys Mountain Road) for their annual Christmas Tree Lighting, beginning at 5:00 PM..

While enjoying the Holiday Happening, don’t miss the chance to purchase tickets for the 2024 Historic House Tour, taking place on Saturday, December 14. This unforgettable journey through the area's history offers a unique glimpse into several, beautifully preserved homes and their stories. Historic House tour tickets may also be purchased online here.

On December 14, Zion Lutheran Church is hosting a special Historic House Tour Luncheon from 11:00 to 2:00 pm in Faith Hall for ticket holders.

The WTHS Museum, located at 6 Fairview Avenue in Long Valley, welcomes visitors during its regular operating hours. Come for the holiday cheer and stay for the history!
