Lifelong Schooley's Mtn. Resident, Business Owner Dies at 82
George Frone, Sr. loved the outdoors.
George Frone, Sr. saw the beautiful seasons change from atop Schooleyβs Mountain for more than 80 years.
The lifelong resident and former business owner died recently at the age of 82.
Frone was born on Schooleyβs Mountain and owned his own business, Georgeβs Tire, in Hackettstown until he retired in 1995. Frone was the manager of Whelan Brothers Tire in Hackettstown before opening his own shop.

Frone loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and motorcycles.
He is survived by a son and daughter, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Cochran Funeral Home in Hackettstown on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held the following day at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association.
