This Long Valley Bagel Shop Was Ranked Among The Top By Patch Readers

LONG VALLEY, NJ — As part of an old, unspoken rivalry between two neighboring states, New York has long claimed to be the world's bagel capital, but many New Jerseyans would disagree.

In honor of National Bagel Day, which occurred this past Sunday and we wanted to know: where can you get the best bagel in and around Long Valley?

With so many places to try in the area, it makes sense that readers couldn't come to a consensus on a singular best place. However, there was one overwhelming response that many readers agreed on, and that was Long Valley Bagels.

It got a lot of votes from people, with one reader citing their go-to sandwich: an everything bagel with Jersey Shore cream cheese.

Although many Long Valley Patch readers named this well-known neighborhood restaurant as their favorite, Long Valley Bagels' sandwiches have become well-known beyond the confines of the township.

Long Valley Bagels was also mentioned by several Patch readers from nearby Morris County towns as one of their favorite places.

"Long Valley Bagels are the best," one commenter from Morristown said.

"Long Valley Bagels. Non better, Crispy outside, light and airy inside," another Patch reader from the Mendham/Chester Patch agreed.

Long Valley Bagel is located at 6 W Mill Road and is open every day from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The runner-up spot, according to Long Valley Patch readers, was Mount Olive Bagel, which is located at 135 US-46, in Budd Lake.
