Long Valley BBQ Part Of Mayors' Meal Challenge For Friday's Football Game
Mayor Matt Murello will give Mt. Olive Mayor Rob Greenbaum BBQ as part of their friendly competition. Watch Friday's football replay here.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — There were two friendly and spirited competitions going on this past Friday between Long Valley and Mount Olive, one on the field and one off.
As West Morris Central High School’s Wolfpack took on the Mount Olive Marauders on the Marauders’ home turf, Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello and Mt. Olive Mayor Rob Greenbaum had a challenge of their own.
Murello told Greenbaum if Mt. Olive won Friday’s game, he’d buy Greenbaum barbecue from Long Valley’s Pulled Fork BBQ and craft beer from Chilton Mill Brewing. Greenbaum returned the friendly banter and wager with the offer of Churrascaria and Jersey Girl Brewery on Murello’s social media post, if West Morris Central prevailed.

Murello commented after the game this past Friday that it was a “tough loss tonight but the Wolfpack played with a lot of heart.”
“As promised, I will be delivering the Mayor Rob Greenbaum the area’s best BBQ,” Murello added.
