Long Valley Driver Who Flipped Sports Car, Struck Pole Had Pot In Car: Cops
East Valley Brook Road was closed for more than five hours Tuesday.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – The driver who flipped his car and struck a pole on East Valley Brook Road Tuesday morning was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Lt. Doug Compton said.
Police responded to a call for an overturned vehicle at 8:54 a.m. involving an electric pole, Compton said. When Officer Ryan Olah arrived, he found a 2008 Ford Mustang overturned in the middle of the road and found the driver, Nicholas Wilson, 25, of Long Valley, standing nearby.
An investigation revealed Wilson had marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, Compton said. After the driver was evaluated by the Long Valley First Aid Squad he was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving, and possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

The roadway was closed until after 2 p.m. when repairs were completed by JCP&L.
