​Long Valley First Aid Squad Mourns Former Chief And President

Marge "Ma" Kielb gave 27 active years to the Long Valley First Aid Squad, representatives said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — The Long Valley First Aid Squad (LVFAS) and affiliated communities are mourning the loss of a former chief and president.

Marge “Ma” Kielb served as the Long Valley First Aid Squad's Chief in 1984 and 1985, and again in 1991 and 1992. She also served as the squad’s president in 1997 and 1998.

Kielb recently passed away and will be “deeply missed” by her family, friends, and First Aid Squad colleagues.

“Marge gave 27 active years to LVFAS and was involved in a ton of activities and projects over the years,” a LVFAS social media post read. “Please keep Marge and her family in your hearts.”

According to Kielb’s obituary, she was not only a dutiful first responder and leader but a “giant in her community.”

“Ma was a pillar of strength and support for everyone who knew her. You could always count on her to help you out of a jam, whether it was a small inconvenience or a major crisis,” Kielb’s obituary read. “She will be deeply missed.”

Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, followed by a luncheon hosted by the Long Valley First Aid Squad.
