Long Valley Man Exposed Himself to Woman at CVS: Cops

A Long Valley man was arrested and charged with lewdness recently when police say he exposed his genitals to a woman in a CVS parking lot.

On Nov. 3, Fairfield Police Officers responded to the parking lot of the CVS Caremark on Passaic Avenue for a report an individual who exposed himself to a woman, police said.

When officers arrived they found Shawn Prendergast, 47, sitting in a 2002 Cadillac appearing to “adjust himself,” police said. When officers spoke with the witness they were told she had pulled into a parking space next to his, police said. She then reached over to get something out of her passenger seat when she made eye contact with Prendergas, police said.

At that point, the witness told police Prendergast unzipped his pants and exposed himself to her, police said.

Prendergast was arrested without incident and charged with lewdness. He was released pending a court appearance.
