Long Valley MOMS Club Brings Gluten-Free Options For Those In Need
Group donated $400 worth of items for Long Valley Community Assistance Program.
LONG VALLEY, N.J. – They saw a need and created a solution. Sounds exactly like what a mom would do.
The MOMS Club of Long Valley took part in a spring community service project by contacting the Long Valley Community Assistance Program, which includes the Food Pantry inside Long Valley Presbyterian Church.
The program told the Club it needed many items, but noted it was in need of gluten-free items to accommodate the dietary needs of new clients.

“Our club decided to use our funds to start the gluten-free section of the food pantry,” said Cassandra Faraci, Administrative VP of the Club. “Some of our members and their children purchased $400 worth of gluten-free items with our club’s funds and then donated those items to the food pantry at our May monthly meeting.”
Faraci said the club’s main goal was to help the community, but to also make it a learning experience their children. The kids helped pick out the items and bag them at the store before delivering them to the food pantry.
