Long Valley Officials Honor Local Eagle Scout

Robert Brobst built and installed church pew book racks at a local church to earn his new rank.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A young man was honored by Washington Township officials at a recent ceremony for his work in becoming an Eagle Scout.

Robert Brobst, of Boy Scout Troop 436, was honored Sunday for achieving the highest rank in scouting following his volunteerism at a local church.

For Robert’s Eagle Scout Service Project, he built and installed 48 church pew book racks at Zion Lutheran Church on Schooleys Mountain Road. He bought the project materials himself and built, sanded, painted, and installed the book racks himself.
